Whatever time of the year (though especially during the season of Christmas), The house should be a place to escape from the craziness in which the world takes us down. If the home is meant to be a sanctuary and a sanctuary, then the master Bedroom should take this concept to the highest level and offer the homeowner some brief but essential respite.
In the search for the most valuable decorating and design ideas, I’d like to throw the following suggestions in the air. I’d like to propose that the next four tips for a perfect comfortable master bedroom could alter your thoughts about the space you put your head.
1. Warmth underfoot.
As a lover of hardwood floors, I’m typically the last person to propose the idea of a wall-to-wall carpet, but when it comes to bedrooms, especially one that is a Master Bedroom, it’s where I get started. No matter what climate the area you reside in (and definitely if you’re located in the snowy mountains), the wall-to-wall installation of the soft, cosy and delicious wool rug makes perfect sense. If you’re fortunate enough to have a dressing area, not to mention the sitting site, then put the carpet in between the two regions in one wonderful beneath-foot experience.
2. Zen in Every Wall.
There are people who disagree with me on my preference for the right colours to paint the walls of the Master Bedroom. With that said, regardless of the opinions, I strongly recommend that in case a tranquil retreat is your goal, make sure you eliminate bold bursts that are vibrant from the room’s colour palette. You may want an all-blue room, but don’t whine to me about the sleepless nights that you endure as you paint your walls with a non-shattering electric blue. I would have suggested one or two of numerous shades of soft, airy aqua or quail egg blue. Both are a serene break that helps to achieve the goal of tranquillity rather than demeaning it.
3. A zone that is not cluttered with technology.
Don’t scream at me that you’re unable to sleep because, in your bedroom, you’ve surrounded yourself by every electronic gadget available. It’s no wonder that your dreams of sleep are often shattered by the fact that you walk into the room, a battery-powered device is blinking, beeping or singing your favourite rock n roll song. What’s up with that!? Are you looking for a peaceful retreat? Eliminate all electronic devices. This includes televisions. One phone with the correct adjustment of “Do not disturb” alerts is everything that a Master Bedroom needs to achieve positive outcomes.
4. Comfort Is King.
If there’s no other piece or piece of furniture within your Master Bedroom than the bed where you sleep, you’re off to a strong beginning. It’s a question I get asked often when purchasing furniture for their room, “What should we start with when our budget is tight?” The most significant purchase you can make for your bedroom, where you are spending more time than any other room in your house, is your bed. If you’ve spent the night in a luxury hotel, then you’ve witnessed the captivating beauty and sultry power of a luxuriously designed bed. They’re designed to give you the most restful night’s sleep and therefore are worth every cent. I would suggest that you get a little rest. You can stay in the likes of a Hilton or one of the Four Seasons, a Ritz Carlton… etc. and choose a mattress that is suitable for your needs. Many hotels offer the option of purchasing in-house that lets you buy the bed you want. Don’t hesitate. It’s the most valuable money you’ll ever make.
